Act Too Young Company

Act Too Young Company (ATYC ) is for young people aged 11 – 19 years with an interest in acting, devising and theatre making. By joining our company, young people develop performance techniques, make new friends, and have fun.

Our Act Too workshops in Melton Mowbray explore the craft of acting through improvisation and performance creation. Weekly sessions include drama games, confidence building and acting techniques. We encourage our young company to shape the direction of the workshops; we put the young person at the heart of the learning process. We actively encourage home grown talent; young performers, writers and those interested in the production process. We invite all skills and abilities, including young people with no performance experience. Our workshop leaders are experienced actors, qualified teachers, and special guests from the performing arts industry. We have an extensive network of associates that input into our “master classes”. Act Too Young Company is not a conventional stage school. We are not committed to demanding public performances. We are a creative space to explore drama without the pressure of production deadlines and script revision.
